Born and raised in New York City, Alex Clermont began his working career lifting boxes and selling junk, publishing his first short story at 30. Since then he's been featured in aaduna, The aois21 Annual, Foliate Oak, and other journals.
As an independent author, he published a collection of short stories, You, Me, and the Rest of Us, in 2015. In 2020, he published his first novel, We Are All Thieves.
Alex also (barely) maintains a Substack, titled “This is the World Now,” where he publishes essays with dry humor and an eye for social issues.
